### Which drugs are approved in Korea, by whom, since when — and which must never be combined?

Korea Drug Approval & Interaction API is the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS, 식품의약품안전처) product approval register and its DUR (Drug Utilization Review) contraindication lists, as one English JSON API.

- **42,989 approved products** with English product name, English company name, English ingredient names, approval date, approval or notification, prescription or OTC, therapeutic class, cancellation status and date, the company's business registration number and the national-insurance EDI codes.
- **About 800,000 contraindicated product pairs** (병용금기) and seven further MFDS lists: pregnancy contraindications, age contraindications, cautions in the elderly, maximum-dose and treatment-duration cautions, therapeutic-class duplication and do-not-split notices.
- The server re-collects the source every day and keeps the previous database if the new one is smaller.

The MFDS publishes this in Korean, spread over several portals and APIs, keyed by Korean item numbers. Here it is linked by item number, filtered by status, searchable in English or Korean, and returned in one shape.

### Data source and licence

Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea, via the Public Data Portal (data.go.kr) datasets 15095677 and 15059486, "no usage restrictions". Field names are translated to English keys and dates normalised; the MFDS's own English product, company and ingredient names are used as published. This API is not affiliated with or endorsed by the MFDS.
